Can I use Pahkui for free?
Yes. The free version lets you set default apps for common formats such as TXT, PDF, Office, and JPG.
Do I need to pay?
Common formats are free. Buy Pro once to unlock all supported formats in Pahkui 1.x, yours to use for life. No subscription.
Will Pahkui make an app support a new file format?
No. Pahkui changes the default app assignment. The chosen app must still be able to read the file.
Do I need to stay online?
No. Internet access updates formats and app recommendations, and activates and periodically checks your Pro license. Everyday use works offline.
Can I move my license to another Mac?
Yes. Sign in to your account, deactivate the old Mac, then activate the new one.
